Architecture and planning Processing

Manufacturing process:

TECHNOpor glass foam granulate.

Base material: waste glass of varying quality.
No matter whether a jam jar, a window pane,
green, white or brown
coloured glass –
TECHNOpor will process it to glass foam granulate

The glass is pre-sorted, broken and goes through several stages of a separation and crushing process.

Subsequently, the glass granulate of up to 10 mm in
size is ground to finest glass flour in a ball mill.
The mineral activator is added in the turbo mixer.

The glass flour is foamed and sintered in

the electrically heated continuous furnace at
temperatures of around 900°C.

A 300 to 400°C hot glass slab leaves the oven.
Stress cracks appear due to rapid cooling.

These cause the slab to fall into pieces
of 3 to 5 cm in size.
